Preamble

The Canadian Cleaning Association (CCA) is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and competence within the cleaning industry in Canada. This Code of Ethics serves as a guide for all members to uphold these standards in their daily operations and interactions.

Professional Conduct

Members shall conduct their business affairs with professionalism, integrity, and respect. Members shall provide services in accordance with the highest industry standards, ensuring the safety, health, and welfare of the public.

Honesty and Integrity

Members shall act honestly in all professional relationships, avoiding conflicts of interest and not engaging in fraudulent practices. Members shall accurately represent their qualifications, capabilities, and experience.

Respect for Clients

Members shall treat all clients with respect, fairness, and good faith. Confidential information obtained during the course of service shall be kept private unless permission is granted to disclose such information or it is legally mandated.

Respect for the Environment

Members shall use environmentally-friendly cleaning products and methods whenever possible. Members shall strive to minimize waste and the environmental footprint of their operations.

Continuous Improvement

Members shall commit to continuous learning and professional development. Members are encouraged to share knowledge with peers to elevate the industry’s overall standards.

Compliance with Laws

Members shall comply with all local, provincial, and federal laws, regulations, and standards relevant to the cleaning industry.

Fair Competition

Members shall promote fair competition and not engage in practices detrimental to the industry or other members, including false advertising or defamation.

Respect for Colleagues

Members shall treat colleagues with respect and fairness, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. Members shall not denigrate the work or reputation of fellow industry professionals.

Reporting Violations

Members who believe other members are acting unethically or in violation of this Code are encouraged to report the behavior to the CCA.

Enforcement

Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary action, including the revocation of membership.
